Everything you enter inside Daily Ledger — your income, expenses, habits, journal and more — is stored locally in your own browser. We never see it, because no server is involved in how the app runs.
What We Collect at Checkout
When you buy Daily Ledger, we (or our store and payment providers) may collect:
- Your name and email address, to deliver your purchase and provide support
- Billing information, processed securely by our payment provider — we never store your full card details ourselves
- Order history, for support, refunds and record-keeping
This information is handled by our store platform and its payment processor, under their own security standards.
What Stays on Your Device
Daily Ledger is a local-first app. Every entry you make — income sources, expenses, budgets, savings goals, tasks, habits, daily journal notes, workout logs, body weight, meal plans and personal goals — is saved using your browser's local storage, on your own device.
We do not have a server that receives, stores, or has access to this information. We cannot see your entries, your finances, your journal, or your habits, because they never reach us.
Because this data lives only in your browser, it's your responsibility to use Daily Ledger's built-in export and backup feature regularly. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers or devices, or reinstall your operating system without exporting a backup first, that data cannot be recovered by us.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep our online store working correctly (cart, checkout, login)
- Understand how visitors use our site, so we can improve it
- Show relevant marketing, where we run ads

We do not share, and cannot share, anything you enter inside the Daily Ledger app, because that data is never transmitted to us.

We take reasonable steps to protect the purchase information we hold, including relying on the security practices of our store platform and payment processor. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the purchase information we hold about you. Because app data stays on your own device, you're always in full control of it — you can export, edit, or permanently delete it at any time from within Daily Ledger itself.

International Users & Children
Our store may be accessed from anywhere in the world. By using our site or purchasing Daily Ledger, you understand that limited purchase information may be processed in countries other than your own, by our store and payment providers.
Daily Ledger is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
